No it works …but to get more length out of it just press record until you get the desired time I put about 5 minutes saved it as open and now every time I want to record a song I just open sound recorder and go to file…open I named mine (open) to remind me it has nothing…and every time you record a song done save it press “save as” then do it…batta bing batta boom you got your song …yeah lol. do it it works.

how do you do this for vsta?
This is a very basic and easy thing to do, but using this will reduce the audio quality. I’ve been trying to find another method that keeps the audio quality in tact. Any suggestions?

in my version of audacity i can change the input to “what u hear” and it records from the speakers automaticly. If you cant see it got to ‘view, toolbars, mixer toolbar

I use this trick a lot and I have to say this doesn’t work with some computer sound cards, my main pc being one example but it does work on my laptop. My PC only has “line in” and “microphone” I don’t suppose anyone has any replacement soundcard recommendations?
