Those of you that have been on the Internet for quite some times now will agree with me that one of the most frequently asked questions about making money on the internet has been “What is the best way to make money online?”  or “How Can I Make Big Money on the Internet?.

One of the best way to answer any of the above often-asked money making questions is t use the acronym of BEST to explain. BEST consists of four letters B, E, S and T. In this case, B stands Business model, E for Education, S for Schedule and T for Tenacity.

Let’s take a closer look at each component of the key thing: the BEST Way.

1. B for Business Model:
Everything hinges upon you finding a business model to build upon.  That is where most people make their big mistake from the beginning.  They try TOO MANY things at a time, ending up not perfecting or building upon any one. Chances are you have made that very mistake yourself, anyway.  Personally I made same mistake in my early online business.

Let me sound it clear to you that your primary objective should be to determine ONE path you want to take to build an online business. To be sure, your business will ultimately consist of many parts later on but not when you are still fresh in the internet business. In fact, experience is the best teacher:-  just try to do affiliate marketing, online auctions, blogging, creating information products, setting up Adsense sites and buying private label products all at the same time and see what happens. No need to stress this point any more! You’ll be spinning your wheels and never getting anywhere.

First, ask yourself what you want to build your business upon:-

* Do you want to create your own products?
* Do you want to promote other people’s products as an affiliate?
* Do you want to sell items on internet auctions?
* Do you want to buy and sell reprint rights or private label products?
* Do you want to generate and sell leads?
* Do you want to sell advertising or generate ad revenue?

You can’t do them all at the same time from the beginning or you will end up getting nothing done at all or do all of them half hazardly. The correct thing to do is to choose one overall “business model” to build upon.  You can always expand, multiply and diversify your business later when you have stabilized your business by mastering one particular area, first.

 2. E for Education:
When you decide the business model you want to toe, then the next thing to do is to focus on learning everything you can about that business model. No one becomes a doctor or lawyer or accountant or even a cashier without being educated first. So, the important thing here is this:-  learn what you need to learn on that internet business model you have chosen and absolutely nothing else until you master that online business, start making big money from it before you expand to another internet business model.  The point is this: you will derail yourself if you try to take in every new “offer of the week” that comes your way on the internet. So, what you have to do is to continue to educate yourself in the area you have chosen to build your business upon.  For example, you are learning to become a top-selling affiliate, don’t waste your time and money on a product that teaches something that is unrelated to affiliate marketing for the moment, no matter how great it sounds. Stick to what you are doing.  Learn it well.  And let nothing else get in your way to distract you.

 3. S for Schedule:
When you start to educate yourself on the online business you are doing, it is important that you make sure that you get it done to completion.  Information without application is worthless to you.  You have to schedule and apply what you have learnt to your online business. So, the key thing here is to balance your schedule with activities that allow you to build your internet business.  In other words, setup a set of daily schedule of things to do whereby you put into practice the things you have learned in your online business. Give yourself reasonable, realistic steps to complete each day of your work week in order to make progress. Until you learn to put into practice those things you have been observing in your education process, you will never really see results in your online business. So, get a weekly schedule in place of daily activities and then, stick to it. I bet you, you will start raking money craze.

 4. T for Tenacity:
Tenacity here means resolve, persistence, firmness, insistence, and doggedness to your online business. There is an old saying that goes thus: “Winners never quit and quitters never win”.  There is a lot of truth in that statement. So, to make money online, you need to acquire or have tenacity.  This simply means that you have to be persistent and you have to stick to it. In fact, the major reason why people don’t make it in their internet businesses is that they lack tenacity (persistence). They quit along the line and start another one which, without tenacity, will also fold up.  And this is usually out of frustration all the way.

Summarily, the best way to make money online is to get a business model, get well educated on the model to build it upon, get a weekly schedule and stick to it, and get tenacity (persistence) until there are results. When you follow your online business like this, then money will start flowing into your bank account like rain. That is “The BSET Way to Make Money Online!”

The music industry is undoubtedly one of the ‘sexiest’ fields in which to work, according to a recent survey by the editors of Time magazine. There are music industry jobs that require nearly any skill set that you can bring to the job, and the training required varies with each of the music industry jobs that may interest you. Here are some general guidelines for finding work in music industry jobs.

Love Music.

It’s not a prerequisite for music industry jobs, but loving music of any kind is a definite step in the right direction. While loving music may not be important in a record company accountant’s position, it’s practically required for anyone who works with artists or in promotion.

Check the qualifications for the job.

In general, most jobs in the music industry require at least a two year college degree – with the exception of performers who can get by without a degree if they have talent. Expect that the more involved the job, the higher your level of education and/or experience will need to be. A record promoter may need to demonstrate networking skills or developed contacts in the local music scene, for instance, and a contracts lawyer will obviously require a law degree. Music teachers working for the schools will need to have a teaching license as well as the demonstrated ability to play an instrument.

The best training is on the job training.

For positions like band manager, road work, publicists and promoters, the best training is through an internship or through your own work promoting and/or managing a band on your own. Some publicists and promoters come to the job from their own fanzines, or have developed a network of contacts in radio and advertising through their college or teen year extracurricular activities.

A degree in music is respected in many music industry jobs.

Colleges that specialize in music education like the Berklee School for the Performing Arts offer training in many different aspects of the music industry. You can study music and performance law, accounting for the music industry, and business management for music companies as well as composition, performance and other music-specific jobs.

Join the band.

One of the best training grounds for a career in orchestral music is your school or college band. If you’re already beyond the school years, take advantage of county and city music societies to both train your ear and keep in the practice of playing with others.

Music ministry jobs often require special certifications.

Many people who put their heart into music, put their business into music teaching. There are many fields of music education and if you are proficient in one or more you will surely find work. The first thing that a music teacher has to do is choose what he or she will focus on, be it an instrument, voice coaching, music theory or even music history. Next comes the time to assess your own knowledge on the topic. If you have a degree of Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education or Master of Music, you are probably comfortable enough teaching at any level. However if your learning did no go that far, you should be teaching at a more basic level. In any case, be sure you are qualified and are honest about your qualifications with your clients.

Consider also who you want to teach. Maybe you would love to help young children take their first steps in music. Or maybe you want to work with older kids or adults on continuing or just starting their education. Be sure you adapt your teachings and, if you need to, talk to pedagogues so you know how to deal with a child. The planning of the classes can be tricky and do not think for a second that only adults can spot if you did not prepare the lesson. A kid will notice and can get bored and even give up if they feel you are not making an effort.

Scheduling can also be difficult. Whatever you do, do not book more than one student for a time slot and try not to extend the lesson pass its designated time. It just screams that you are unprofessional. Remember during which hours kids are in school and are not available. Moreover, keep in mind that a 6 year-old attention span is not the same as a 16 year-old’s so the time which lesson takes depends very much on the student. It also depends on you personally and on your teaching method.

On that topic, there are a lot of different music teaching methods out there. One of the most popular is the Suzuki Method, but others include the Dalcroze Method and the Yamaha Method. Even if you choose not to follow any of these, it is very interesting to learn a bit about each. It will open your eyes and you will see your work under a whole new prism. In the end, you probably will take some directions from these methods, even if subconsciously.

These are the basics you should take into account when setting up as a private music teacher. Others are simple, practical choices like the place you want to teach, the prices you will charge and how to keep your financial books. However, most of it comes from practice and time. You are a music teacher, so you know that everything does.
